The European Social Club is looking for creative Science Communication Fellows to help present ESC research, events and opportunities to our community and beyond.
This voluntary role offers a chance to develop a visible science-communication portfolio, gain editorial and leadership experience, and explore science communication as a possible future career direction. Clear communication is now a core skill in modern neuroscience: it helps researchers make discoveries accessible, connect disciplines, demonstrate impact, and build trust with wider audiences.
The fellow(s) may contribute by curating updates for the ESC website, promoting announcements and events, spotlighting research and researchers across Europe, and developing new formats such as podcasts, interviews, video, research explainers, infographics, community spotlights, art, performance, or other creative approaches.
Outstanding contributors will be eligible for the ESC Science Communication Award, including support to attend the ESC Biennial Forum.
To apply, send a one-page Letter of Motivation describing your interest, experience, and ideas for ESC science communication. Optional multimedia links or mock-ups are welcome. Individual and group (max 2 per group) applications are both encouraged.
